Balloon Museum Returns to Mana Wynwood With Interactive “Pop Air” Experience
Mana Wynwood is once again transforming into a playground of imagination and air as the globally acclaimed Balloon Museum returns with its latest exhibition, “Pop Air."
This summer, Mana Wynwood Convention Center transforms into a larger-than-life world of inflatable art as Balloon Museum returns to Miami with its immersive exhibition, Pop Air. Running from May 16 through September 27, the globally touring experience invites visitors to step inside interactive installations filled with light, movement, sound, and play.
This year’s exhibition features a dynamic lineup of installations from artists across the globe, each exploring the playful and emotional possibilities of inflatable art.
- Hyperstudio: “10 Agosto” A glowing swing installation inspired by shooting stars and the night sky & “Glowing Ballet” Floating illuminated spheres create a choreographed light experience.
- Hyperstudio/Quiet Ensemble: “Hypercosmo” An immersive inflatable universe blending light, sound, and projections.
- Quiet Ensemble: “Soft Hurricane” Floating illuminated balloons swirl through streams of air.
- Motorefisico: “Swing” Interactive suspended inflatables that bounce and move with visitors.
- Cyril Lancelin: “Crazy Love for Polygons” A giant geometric inflatable maze visitors can walk through.
- Lucas Zanotto: “Squeezed In” Oversized cartoon-inspired inflatables create a playful, dreamlike world.
- Rub Kandy: “The Ginjos” Bright inflatable creatures with oversized eyes and quirky personalities.
- Christopher Schardt: “Mariposa” A glowing kinetic butterfly installation with immersive lighting effects.
- Eness: “Airship Orchestra” Inflatable sculptures that create sound and music through interaction.
- Jimmy Kuehnle: “Bau(ncy) Haus” A walkable inflatable maze designed for exploration and play.
- Alex Schweder: “Her Joy” A reflective installation exploring movement, balance, and interaction.
- Sun Yitian: “Let Me Hold You” A soft inflatable sculpture inspired by comfort and nostalgia.
Whether it is diving into a sea of spheres or wandering through forests of glowing inflatables, the experience is designed to be shared. The visit lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes, offering endless opportunities for photography, discovery, and play for visitors of all ages.
